For the last six years we have lived in Juneau, Alaska (and loved it!) where it seems the sun may "never shine". I believe the average amount of sunny days per year was approximately 44 days! That is not a whole lot of sun. For the first 6 weeks after we moved back to Tulia Hunter would enthusiastically say when we woke from the evening's slumber, "Dad! Dad! It's a sunny day!" He usually said this running through the house with a smile on his face. Oh the things we take for granted and forget to thank God for in our lives!
Stop and give God the glory for the "small" things in your life today.
What things have you taken for granted lately?

Hi Bruce and Amanda,
Welcome back to the "Lower 48." I was happy to hear about your blog. It was fun seeing pictures of your little 'uns. You know, when we left Juneau, 5 1/2 years ago, you only had two! I'm thinking that Tulia isn't too far from where our son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter live (Spring, TX - north of Houston), so maybe we can meet ups on one of our trips that direction. I'll keep checking in, to see what's new in your life. You can peek into my blog, as well, if you wish: www.lindaswindow.blogspot.com
Woops! I didn't sign that, and you might not be able to figure out that it's from,
Dan and Linda J.
Hello, Hello, Hello
Glad you are here! :)
Wish I could wake up and say "It's sunny out" for a couple of days. I guess I will be thankful for the sunny days I do get. Today is one of those days. The mountains have snow dustings on the top and the blue sky is beautiful. God Is Good!!! We miss and Love all of you.
Glad to hear that y'all are settled in Tulia. It's great to have you back in the neighborhood and on the Internet.
Blessings,
Jeff Foster
linda - good to hear from you again. I will stop by the blog and try to get caught up with you as well. You guys are not too far from us either ... closer than when we were in Juneau.
sharla - as always it is good to hear from you!
padens - amen to that sister! God is good! We miss and love you guys too! I remember the first snow on those tops and the sinking feeling knowing that it wouldn't be long until the snow was in my shovel! Well, it is what it is ... God is good no matter the surroundings!
jeff my friend, it is good to hear from you again and its good to be in Tulia.
I take alot of the little things for granted.....but God has a way of tapping me on the shoulder and says "Hey, remember these?"
Love you 2-3-6,
Monalea

Sunshine. You'd think my kids never saw the sun here in the rain forest of Juneau. When ever we get a glimpse of it and Michael Jr. feels it on his skin, you'd of thought he was a vampire. He'd start saying 'ouch, sunshine hurts' the feel of sun on the skin is usually a welcome feeling for most of us, but not for my little guy!
