1/2 Marathon?! Get out of town!

Amanda has challenged me to do the same challenge she issued to Melissa and Jennifer. Yes, it is to run a 1/2 marathon! Can you imagine me running that far? 13.1 miles of eating Amanda's dust! That just sounds so cheesy but I am up to the challenge even though she can run better than I. Maybe I will challenge her to ride in the "Hotter Than Hell" bicycle race next Summer! It is funny how God has given each of us different abilities. For us, it seems that the one who does better in one event cheers the other on in that same event. That's the way it ought to be in home and in church! Be a great encourager to each other ~ love each other deeply ~ enjoy the life and abilities God has given you ~ accept encouragement to press on (even if you do not think it to be your ability).

I have really enjoyed running with Amanda. We have good conversations while running. Actually, she talks and I am gasping for my next breath. I catch-up on my talking during the cool down laps!

Our kids run laps too!

God SPEED! (I'm gonna need it just to keep up with Amanda!)

Thanks mom and bro. for the encouragement! I may need to delete those comments so it won't add fuel to the fire of her kicking my tail!

Just remember their will be 3 of us to contend with! We will train Amanda to kick your tail...
Then again I am thinking that maybe now she has a partner at home Jennifer and I can not do it!

No cop-outs! She needs your commitment, encouragement on the track not sidelines. She needs your expertise and friendship. Your companionship and kindred spirit. She needs you to RUN!

I think I might run tomorrow... First I am going shopping for the right outfit and I am not joking. Then I might come home and run...
I don't know I might be tired after shopping for the clothes...

I almost think that I got an inviation from Amanda for this on my blog....But I turned away quickly and acted like I didn't see it so I am not really sure. I got to tell you that I am very impressed that she not only will run this, but she has some serious superhero power to get three other people on board. I am going to buy her a wonderwoman bracelet and a cape. YOU GO AMANDA...YOU ARE MY HERO!

Hey Bruce, be careful what you suggest. The "Hotter Than Hell" is more difficult than you might think. Let me know if you are going to do it and I will come down and do it with you.

Enjoy your differences, but forget the competition. Whatever you two decide to do together make sure you cross the finish line hand in hand. I makes the going home together a lot more enjoyable!
